Who am I?
When I know I am already loved

I spent years trying to prove that I mattered…
Until one day, I discovered that my very existence is already proof that I am loved.
After all, why else would God have made me?
And if this is true — if God’s love isn’t something I have to earn or prove or strive for — then that can only mean one thing:
I am already loved, right now, exactly as I am.
And so are you.
Since learning this great truth, I’ve started wondering…
Who am I when I know that I am already loved by the Creator of the universe?
Who am I when I don’t need to prove myself to anyone anymore?
Who am I when I don’t need to grasp for anything ever again?
Who am I when I am secure in my identity as a beloved child of God?
Who am I when I trust in the provision of my Heavenly Father?
Who am I when I believe that God is a kind, caring, and loving God?
Who am I when I walk with confidence in the victory of Christ?
Who am I when I live every moment of my life as if in the presence of God?
Who am I when I fear no evil — no matter where I go — because I know that God is with me?
To be completely honest, I don’t really know.
I mean, I kinda know.
But I’m also kinda still finding out.
Maybe you are, too.
Hopefully, you are, too.
And if you aren’t quite there yet, well, that’s okay.
Maybe today can be the day you take your first step.
Or maybe today is just the day you take another step.
Wherever you are on your journey — my invitation to you is the same.
All you have to do… is be willing.
Be willing to let God reveal Himself to you.
Be willing to let God show you the way.
Be willing to let God love you… right now… exactly as you are.
Are you willing to do that?
If you are, then it is with great pleasure that I’d like to say.
Welcome to the grand adventure of life with Christ.
Welcome to the narrow road.
Welcome to… the rest of your life.

Loved all of this! I think about this in terms of Psalm 139: who would you be if you lived as if everything written in that Psalm were true?
